Leaving the Midlands to study architecture in London Nick gained experience working in various architects practices after qualifying.
For some years he specialised in leisure architecture and design, initially working on the prestigious Tottenham Green Leisure centre and then moving to the private sector where he project managed multi million pound projects for both Local Authority and Corporate clients.
Approached by a multi disciplinary design practice Nick moved to Shropshire in 1998 to head up a new Architecture department covering design of all sectors including residential, community projects, commercial (workplace and industrial), education and leisure.
Wanting to return to grass roots design Nick, with Sandra, started 2Scale Architects and Designers in 2007 and has quickly earned a regarded reputation for quality design.
Sandra trained in design for 5 years and specialised for 2 in interior design. Apart from a year working for Walt Disney, She has worked in the kitchen Design industry for over 25 years designing, supplying and project managing for prestigious kitchen companies such as Smallbone, Bulthaup and Mobalpa.
She now uses her knowledge to create bespoke designs for clients which means as a team the exterior and interior have been designed together to ensure the clients needs are met. We also undertake the design of kitchens as stand alone projects.
We use local products as much as possible and our kitchen cabinets are made nearby.
As a director of the company she oversees the general administration and as a trained C.A.D operator is involved in the initial stages of the design and planning application process.
